.As Delta South, Central and North adopt the smart governor; Esiso advises aspirants to avoid hate speech.

ASABA-The Smart Governor of Delta State and Ochuko R’ Urhobo Nation, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has technically and overwhelmingly emerged as the 2019 consensus governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, ahead of the party’s gubernatorial primaries.
The circle of adoption was successfully completed last Saturday at the Delta South PDP rally in Oleh. Delta Central and North had in time past endorsed Gov Okowa as sole candidate for the forthcoming Guber elections.
The adoption were done in good faith and in one accord; after party stakeholders painstakingly reviewed the implementation of the Smart Agenda and in consideration of the enviable performance of the Okowa administration within a short period of three years and still counting.
The Oleh Stadium was filled to capacity and the surging overflow of mammoth crowd in its thousands rated the rally as gathering of political eagles; as there was elastic political fun fair and Oleh township experienced one of the best moments in partisan politics.
Former Governor of Delta State and national leader of Ibori Political Dynasty (IPD), Chief James Ibori, immediate past governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, Deputy Governor, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, Senator James, Former SSG Ovuzorie Macaulay, and other political leaders commended the good governance initiatives of Gov Okowa and led other party faithfuls to endorse him as the consensus 2019 Guber candidate of the party.
With this development there shall be no other 2019 Guber aspirant of the party for governorship election in Delta State. Its OKOWA AGAIN all the way.
The leaders made reference to the huge infrastructure development; wealth and job creation accomplishments by the Okowa administration as the compelling force that facilitated his endorsement by the good people of Delta central, North and South Senatorial Districts.
The three modular refineries under construction in Ukpai, Kwale and Sapele as well as the huge investment in peace and security in the state prides this administration as a focused and people oriented government; with strong desire for improved socioeconomic advancement driven by Prosperity for All Deltans mantra encapsulated in the Smart Agenda blueprint.
The Technical Education being one of the prime target of the Okowa administration to further strengthen human capital development through skills acquisition and vocational training; was mentioned by speakers at the Oleh rally as a plus for the smart governor and was highly celebrated by women, youths, chieftains and party faithfuls across board.
It follows that unlike the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) that is bedevilled by petty squabbles anchored on selfish personal interest rather than Party interest, the PDP in Delta State has successfully crossed the hurdle of controversial Guber primaries and shall proceed to strategize well ahead to deliver its sole candidate in the 2019 governorship elections in the person of Gov Okowa.
In his “thank you” speech to the good people of Delta South and party faithfuls in the state, Gov Okowa assured Deltans that infrastructure development, wealth and job creation and other socioeconomic remodelling policies and programmes shall be executed to the benefit of citizens without undue favour and partiality across the three senatorial districts.
He noted that the success so far achieved was made possible by the support, encouragement and prayers of Deltans; and that the huge crowd at the Oleh Stadium was enough proof that he has being consistent and keenly devoted to the total fulfilment of his 2015 electioneering promises to the electorates.
State Chairman of PDP in Delta, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso said the consensus endorsement of Gov Okowa attests to the robust internal democracy within the party. He urged all other aspirants from Senatorial to House of Assembly to work very hard, adding that no aspirant, low or mighty, shall be imposed on the party as candidate under his watch.
He noted that the panacea for emerging as party candidate is rooted on credibility, popularity and loyalty to party as well as deep connection with electorates especially eligible delegates at the party primaries.
“Hate speech among aspirants under PDP is highly prohibited and must be avoided. Any aspirant found to violate this order shall taste bitter penalty because all aspirants are valuable members of our great party.
“The adoption of our Smart Governor as a consensus 2019 governorship candidate is a welcome development. He has turned every part of the State to a construction site; such superlative achievements is worthy of commendation which is why PDP structures in the three senatorial districts resolved to return Gov Okowa unopposed,” Esiso added.
The coast is now clear that Gov Okowa shall effortlessly with the support of PDP structures in the state, emerge victorious at the Guber election in 2019.
