2019: Accept aggrieved members of opposition parties, Delta SSG urges group


Ahead ofthe 2019 general elections, the Secretary to the Delta State Government,Rt.Hon. Ovie Festus Agas today urged the newly inaugurated Burutu and Warri South-West Local Government Executive of the “Team Agas for Okowa2019” to accept and welcome aggrieved members opposition party with a view to working for the victory and re-election of Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.

The SSG who doubles as the Grand Patron of the group made the assertion in a remark during the inauguration of the group.

Rt. Hon. Agas was represented by the Director-General of “Team Agas for Okowa 2019”, Hon. Prince Otemu.

Rt. Hon.Agas said he inaugurated the ” Team Agas for Okowa 2019″ because GovernorArthur Ifeanyi Okowa’s achievements is in every nook and crann of the State.

According to him,”There is no Local Government Area that has not felt the impact ofdevelopment of the Governor. There’s no LGA that you will not findinfrastructural development. 

“GovernorArthur Ifeanyi Okowa has also appointed many youths into his Government. Herecently approved the construction of 70 roads to the already other road sconstructed in the State.”

He said the group’s mandate is to sensitize the people at the grassroots towards voting for the success as well as the re-election Governor, Arthur IfeanyiOkowa.

 Earlier, the Delta South Coordinator of the “Team Agas for Okowa 2019″ , Hon. Shedrack Agediga said the theme of the group is,”Mosquitoes approach” stressing that it is targeted at the grassroots.

In his words, “We tend to achieve this through man to man, woman to woman, boy to boy, girl to girl, community to community to campaign to the people.”

He noted that the magnitude of development Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has brought to the State cannot be compared since the Democratic experience of Delta State since 1999 till date.

In their acceptance speeches shortly after being inaugurated, Hon. Oyakorukumor Solomon and Hon. Gidgift Omare, Deputy Coordinator and Coordinator of Burutu and Warri South-West accepted the office and vowed to work assiduously for the victory of Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa in the forthcoming elections.
