As part to bring good health and care for the blinds, a Ophthalmologist with the Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Gloria Ferife has called for more schools’ for the blinds to build within the state.
Dr Ferife made this call at the occasion marking the 2018 International Sight Day with the theme, “Eye Care Everywhere ” saying, eye Care services should access in all communities that will help to reduced blindness put together by the Delta State Association of the Blind (DESAN).
She said, Delta State need more school for the blinds, if education is for everyone, this set people should also be educated and the state has 140 primary health care. Adding that, this set of people cannot access long distance health services for the young class, while advocate for health center to alongside the school.
The Ophthalmologist said, “the focus is to ensure that people in all communities everywhere have access to eye care.’’
